June Projects

Photo2SeaJune begins the summer season here in Brunswick, Maine, after a long, hard winter. at last, this coastal college town is alive with a host of cultural offerings, prominent among them Maine State Music Theatre, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, and the Bowdoin Museum, which usually mounts a major exhibit each year. I have been involved with all these organizations, covering their wonderful offerings, and in the case of MSMT, hosting their talkback series, A Peek Behind the Curtain, as well as this year working on a special film/interview project with their interns – all of which has given me inspiration and enjoyment!  I have finished a first draft of my next collection of short stories, but will delay until the fall for editing and publication process, and I am about halfway through the Jonas Kaufmann book. I continue, too, to do the usual complement of theatre reviews and profiles, as well as writing classical music pieces for Fanfare and other arts features for Scene 4. This past month I profiled the lovely little museum in Ogunquit, the charming arts colony nestled on Maine’s southern shore.
